Food lovers say AIYE !..

today i was having a discussion with my sister about writing a blog, she then told me I should write a book !. Having done my MBA i immediately thought about our very own Chetan Bhagat. despite this guy having made million gazillion sales of all his books I DO Not want to be like him ( so Chetan Bhagat , if you happen to read this, here's the real deal !). I want to write books that invoke the inner chef in them, i want to bring about moments where the reader transcends from a simple chicken butter masala to one which exlpodes with tender pieces of delectable chicken smothered in that sinful thing called butter( I think most of you would have thought about the usual - smatterings of joy, pints of love and so forth !...well.. those too! ) swirling in that sensuous red sauce of tomatoes( atleast now most of you would have known that the chicken butter masala is made of tomatoes! ) and garlic and some other ingredients that are secretive in nature- its secret, because i dont know them!.

I just came back from Bangalore ( was doing my MBA project there) when my sister bought a cookery/coffee table book for my sis-in-love Roshamama ( sorry RoshAMAMA !..mum makes us call her that !), anyways she bought a book on Suriyani Christian cuisine ( for all those who dont know I'm one -that is ,Syrian Christian from Kerala) which talked about my culture ( even I learnt a few things from it ! ).If you have'nt guessed by now that I'm a foodie ..i dont know how else to tell u !...I am the ultimate foodie !!!!!... this goes way back to my days in childhood when on my 1st birthday, i practically drooled over my delicious birthday cake ! The utter joy on my face is a sight to behold !!!. So. coming back to the discussion with my family , my sister told me that I should definitely write a book on food and make all of your mouths to water !.

Since i'm right now in Karnataka I thought I should try out some authentic Kannada cuisine. So far, I've been mesmerised by the Oppatu( similar to the Poli of the north). I was blown away by the oppattu served at Big Bazaar store at Banashankari, Bangalore. You might be thinking, whether this is my project ! well , however much I would like it to be, it's not. The oppattu was amazingly hot and tender and crumbling right under my fingers that i was fighting a loosing battle between gravity pulling down my oppatu and me placing my mouth right under the crumbling bliss. The oppattu goes surprisingly well with hot, melted shudhu-ghee and you are rest assured that you would feel like you've reached food heaven.

Its been 2 years since i wrote my first and last entry !!! imagine that...maybe i just did'nt want to write ...i've been busy ....now i'm sooooo bored ...a few days back I saw the movie August Rush..that movie has been in my laptop for more than a year, i think I was just waiting for the right time ...the right moment ...the right feeling ....I always watch a movie depending upon the mood I am in ....the movie just cut like a knife in my body..a sudden realization that there is always good in the world ..that music is just floating around...you just have to wait for it..be patient ...and absorb it all !!!...

I am a big Fan of the movies ....i dont know what i would do without them !!!...a tribute to all those who made my life sane for the past few years ...

Some of my favorite movies are:

3. Titans
4. Sister act

I can only think of these .... for now !! will come up with more later .....

Moving onto music...my other love ....I've been listening to Mercy by Duffy...its at times like these ...when you are under the spell of someone else ...and you need a good swift kick in the butt ...that the blues strike at your heart !!!....God love those guys who started it all...talking about the blues...today I saw a movie about the Dreamgirls....and how they started this craze of pop culture and the R&B genre !!!!.......ode to them !!!

Gottsta getta start writing again . got my gre exam coming right around the corner...got loads to read..words like hordes...now is it hordes or hoards!!!!!!!!!.....gosh these words are just about killing me!.....let me start by writing about some technically important topicsl like ....Can we categorise all muslims to be terrorists??????

Since the beggining of time people have been wary of this culture. Be it the invasion of Jerusalem by the muslim warriors the invasion of India by these so called holy warriors. MAny consider them to be the bane of our existance. Would the world have been a better place without them ?. Some may say, " Most definitely! ". But, i dont think so . Its our ignorance of their culture . Being an Indian i've come across many Muslims , but dont know much about their culture, but atleast we dont think them to be terrorists. Their ideals may seem to be a bit extreme but, their ideals are similar to that of our own culture. Its funny how many people think that they are a world apart from us, when they are just the same as us.

The muslims in ancient times were invaders . Now they are being invaded. You may call this as sweet poetic justice. its just aqueastion of mistrust . We dont understand them, so we bomb them,,,they dont understand why we hate them so much ...so they bomb us back....now that is wat they call as sweet poetic justice.!..tit for tat is definitely their game. All these things may be true...but what do we expect?. The incursion of their land, to drill for the most precious thing on the earth so far- Liquid gold . Then creating all bedlam when the american's start clambering for more profit . The locals start getting fidgety when theyfinally realise that they are being duped and they start looting , burning their own resources . Mistrust later on deepens to hatred . It is quite understandable . The UN then slams ban on trade between these countries. NO food. No medecines. Hatred deepens further . its very easy to sit in our ivory tower having antoinesque ideas , " Well they deserve it!"....what nonsense !...The only solution to this problem is withdrawing troops from these posts. Letting them create their own democracy, if that is what they want . Let them elect their own leaders without the foreigners interfering .
Nehru's policy of non interfence is very much appreciated . Our very own foreign policy during the Iraq war was most noteworthy. the decision of not sending troops to fight against the Iraqis was our country's most proud moment . Help in any form is to be given to them .
Whatever happened to - Love thy neighbours as thyself. It maybe a Christian adage but atleast one side of the war were all Christians . Its no use blaming the other side .when it is us - the so called civized society to make the right decision.

Let go of the mistrust. Let go of the hatred.

well..THIS came from seeing a lot of blogs...and i was wondering ...how come I don't have one!!!!!!!!!!!..shame on me!....before i really gave a shit ..as to whether i should start posting or not..since everybody was doin it!!!..but hen ....WAT THE HELL!...i was just in the mood...basically its just, to get a lot of things out of my chest!!...i am and never will be a poet....master of words ..but then so is almost everyone else...can this be as start of a new beggining....a start of a new era....this is - "This is 2007 A.D ,,,, Sarah -the true queen of Bohemia ....calling to all like minded people!!!!!!!1.....over.."( it helps if u read the above qouatation as if u r a GI Joe.....).
